I'm still just a kid, but I have to fight monsters everyday.
I really don't like fighting. Is there any other way, besides fighting, to earn money and experience?

There is another way! If you want to earn money and experience, but don't want to fight, why not give part-time jobs a try?
The people at Tir Chonaill and Dunbarton are always looking for part-timers to help them with their work.
(The villagers have a sign that says [NPC] in front of them)
Now, I'll tell you everything you need to know about how to acquire a part-time job.

1. Check the Job Start Time.

Each job has a set time of when they are hiring. You can find the time posted on the bulletin in front of the store, or approach the person hiring.
You will notice that the sign says [Recruiting Time: When the morning shadow points...to when it points there].
The shadow refers to your character's shadow.
Choose the "Auto POV" option from the menu bar below, or just press [z], which will fix your view to always face north. Then you will be able to tell time from your shadow; just like a compass!

2. Talk to the Villagers During Recruitment Time.

Start a conversation with the villagers when they are recruiting for jobs. On the main screen of your travel diary, you will see a keyword titled [Part-Time Jobs]. Click on the keyword and you should be able to receive a part-time job.
However, some jobs are popular and more difficult to obtain, so it's a good idea to get there early.
You can choose from a variety of jobs such as delivering, collecting, shearing sheep, selling firewood, making clothes, and much more!

3. Complete the Task and Report Back Before the Deadline Ends.

When you receive a job, the deadline to complete the task will appear on the upper right corner of the screen. You must finish your job before this time limit in order to receive pay and experience.
Once you finish the job, report back to the employer, and you are finished! Remember, it is very important that you report back!
Even if you don't finish the job, when it's time to report, return to the employer. If you don't, you might not receive any compensation for your work.
However, even if you finish the job early, you cannot report back before the earliest report time listed.
If you don't complete your job fully by the deadline, you will receive a lesser payment than promised. That should be obvious, right?

Tip
1. When you receive a job, depending on which job, you will have a title that reads [~ worker] while you work.
2. Depending on the job, you might need to have the right tools with you, so be prepared. You're not going to chop firewood with bare hands, right?
3. If you do your job well, after awhile, you will earn favor with the people and your pay might even increase. In the beginning, you will receive easy tasks, before advancing to intermediate and advanced jobs. However, if you don't complete your job, it will be difficult for you to receive advanced jobs.
